This series was made during several trips to Japan, wandering between dense cities and quiet rural towns. I was drawn to moments of pause, where solitude isn’t a rupture, but part of the rhythm. These are spaces between places, gestures between gestures, where nothing extraordinary happens. And yet, everything is there.
